Practice Areas:

Mara practices in the areas of estate planning, corporate law and general business law. She prepares comprehensive and customized estate plans for clients which range from simple wills to complex trusts and include powers of attorney and advance health care directives. She also advises fiduciaries regarding trust and estate administration. Her practice also serves the complex needs of businesses and business owners, offering legal services including trademark filings, entity planning and formation (including corporations, limited liability companies, and family limited partnerships), contract negotiations, and purchase and sale agreements.

Previous Work:

Upon graduation from law school, Mara practiced estate planning law in the Bay Area until she moved to Fresno in January 2006 to join Fishman, Larsen, Goldring & Zeitler.

Professional Activities:

Mara enjoys being involved with the Fresno community. She is the Chair of the Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Section of the Fresno County Bar Association for 2010, having served as a Co-Vice-Chair of the Section in 2008 and 2009, and is a member of the Fresno Estate Planning Council, the Fresno County Young Lawyers Association, the Fresno County Bar Association, and the Trusts and Estates Section of the State Bar of California.

Community Involvement:

Mara is the Treasurer of the North Fresno Leads Group and a member of the Fresno Grand Opera’s Team of 200.

Life Beyond The Law:

Mara appreciates many cultures and is constantly learning new languages; she is conversational in French and Japanese and is currently working on learning Hindi. She is an avid reader and most enjoys works of historical fiction. She also loves foreign films, art, music, and opera (especially those by Puccini); enjoys hiking and running; and is a blue belt in the martial art of aikido.
